ERICKSON Mary Luella, age 94, of Ramsey, NJ passed away on November 18th, 2014. Mary Lou was born in Albany NY, in 1920. She graduated from The Albany Academy for Girls in 1938 and continued her education, graduating from the College of William Smith in 1942. She married her college sweet heart, John B. Erickson, September 19th of the same year, and they spent their honeymoon driving from Albany NY to Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA. After the war, Mary Lou and John started their lives together. She was a beloved mother to her children: Emily E. Hendrick and her late husband David R Hendrick from Atlanta Ga., John B Erickson Jr. and his wife Julie Erickson of Alton Iowa and Wendy Sue Bonitz and her Husband Arthur F. Bonitz Jr. of Howell N.J.. Adored grandmother of Christina (and husband Dr. Jamar ), Andrew, Rebecca (and husband Chris), Jamie, Christi, Jonna (and husband Jason), Artie (and wife Amy), Julia, and Cynthia. Loving great-grandmother of Jack, Anders, and Wils, Mathew (and fiance' Taylor), Caleb, Emma Kay, Riley, Lydia, Aubri, Gavin, Jayden, and Salvatore. And Last But Not Least, GREAT-GREAT-grandmother of Aria. More than an ordinary zest for life, she had absolute pizzazz in everything she undertook. She was very devoted to the Ramsey Presbyterian Church, was an avid bridge player, was a gifted creative artist, and enjoyed writing poetry. She had a life long passion for sewing, loved cooking soup, and sharing with her friends and neighbors. Mary Lou's Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church Friday November 21st 2014 in Ramsey at 11 AM. All are welcome to a luncheon following the service in Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the First Presbyterian Church at 15 Stuart Ln. Ramsey NJ 07446.
