MARY ELLA JONES EAST CHICAGO, IN Mary Ella Jones, 79, of East Chicago passed away February 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by son, John D. Jones; parents: Dewey and Mary Alford; four brothers: William, Sims, A.B., and Adele Alford. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, J.D. Jones; daughters: Debra A. (Eric) Alexander of Hammond and Vanessa (Darryl) Sampson of Denver, CO; son, Maurice Zack Jones; special brother, Lee Matthew Alford; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Divinity Funeral Home, 3831 Main Street, East Chicago, IN with Pastor Hosea Wilson officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Divinity Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
