SHELBYVILLE -- Mary Ella Clemmonts Davis, 67, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Louisville. She was the widow of Isaac B. Davis Sr. She was a native of Shelby County and the daughter of Beulah Chambers Clemmonts and the late Charley Clemmonts. She worked in the dietary department of Shelby Manor Health Care Center for many years until that facility closed. She was a member of Bethel Temple Apostolic Church, where she served as a trustee. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include one daughter, Tonja L. Jones; three sons, Isaac B. Davis Jr., William L. Davis and Anthony J. Davis; three sisters, Valoise C. Owens, Evelyn C. Evans and Charlesetta C. Hill; and one brother, William A. Clemmonts. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Bethel AME Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Webb Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
