Belgium, WI - Mary Elizabeth Shearouse Jones, 74, formerly of Savannah, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at Columbia Ð St. Marys Hospital in Mequon, WI. Mary was born in Savannah on August 14, 1928, daughter of Raymond and Helen Turner Shearouse. She was joined in Holy Matrimony with Ivy L. Jones on May 1, 1959 in Savannah. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1993. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church of the Islands in Savannah, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star, White Star Chapter 367. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her family. A lifelong member of the Savannah community, Mary moved to Wisconsin to live with her daughter in 2001. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Alice Sage. Survivors: son, E. Dean Burgess, Jr. and wife Lise of Bollingbrook, IL; daughter, Diane Rennicke and husband Marty of Belgium, WI; three granddaughters: Janice Stadler and special friend Eric Schlenvogt of Fredonia, WI, Katie Bartoletta and fiancŽ Ken Grass of Acworth, and Sarah McGhee and husband Ashley of Dahlonega; grandson, Michael Rennicke and wife Peggy of Belgium, WI, 1 great-grandson, Carson Rennicke of Belgium, WI; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Jones remains will be placed next to her husband in Hillcrest Abbey, Savannah, GA.
