GORDO Mary Elizabeth Edgeworth Stephens, age 77, of Gordo, died June 17, 2010, at her daughter's home in Northport. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today, June 19, 2010, at Center Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Aldridge officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. She was preceded in death by her husband, William David "Buck" Stephens, Sr.; her parents; her sister, Ethel Gilcrest; and her brothers, Elmer, C.W., and Fred Edgeworth.Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Denise Brazeal of Northport, Ala.; her son, William David Stephens, Jr. and wife, Christy of Gordo, Ala.; her sister, Martha Sullivan (James); her brothers, George Edgeworth (April), Thurman Edgeworth (Winnie), and Ernest Edgeworth; three grandchildren, Todd Stephens, Jason Stephens, and Tammy Brazeal; two great-grandchildren, Gabe Stephens and Logan Stephens; and a number of nieces and nephews.Mrs. Stephens was born April 2, 1933, in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Ernest Edgeworth and Mamie Dill Pate Edgeworth. She was a homemaker and well known resident of Pickens County.Honorary pallbearers are Gary Sullivan, Jimmy Sullivan, Alison Driver, David Bunnell, Kenny Stephens, Tim Shirley, Stevie Stephens, Ray Driver, Ricky Parham, directors, officers, and staff of First National Bank of Central Alabama, Alabama Forestry Commission, employees of Hospice Complete, Dr. Stephen Browne, and Dr. John Brandon.
