Mary Elizabeth Eaton, 71, of New Albany, IN, was born August 19, 1932, to the late John and Agnes Glenn Blume in Linton, IN. She returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Mrs. Eaton was a member of Edenside Christian Church and had worked for Highland Italian Restaurant and Kaelins Restaurant. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Thomas Lee Blume and his wife, Anne; a sister, Margaret Fox and her husband, Richard of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Carman and her husband, William T. "Tom" Carman Jr. of Crestwood; grandchildren, John and Rebecca Blume; a great-granddaughter, Destiny Blume; her dearest friend, Robin Schwartz and her family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron G. Eaton, in 1985. The funeral service for Mrs. Eaton will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, family-owned, Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road, where friends and family may kindly visit from 5-9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
