NORTHPORT Mary Elizabeth Clary Morgan, age 88, of Northport, died June 25, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Corder officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Theodore Morgan; parents, Daniel Webster Clary and Ida Mae Whitfield Clary; sisters, Emma Lou Wagner, Lida Mae Hughes, Ruby Leigh Smith; brother, Benjamin Franklin Clary; and grandson, Thomas Allen Puckett.Survivors include her daughters, Janet Morgan Puckett (Wayne) of Northport and Mary Jo Morgan Freeman (Curtis) of Northport; grandchildren, William Wayne Puckett (Debbie) of Tuscaloosa, Michael Gene Puckett of Tuscaloosa, Angela Freeman Stevens (Mitch) of Moundville, and Steven Curtis Freeman of Northport; great-grandchildren, Gavin W. Sparks, Aleice Morgan Stevens, Nathan Thomas Stevens, and Robby Frederick.She was born April 26, 1925 to Daniel Webster and Ida Mae Whitfield Clary in Hale Co. Alabama, where she was raised and educated in the Hale County School system. At age 20 she married the love of her life William Theodore Morgan and was happily married for almost 68 years. During that time they raised two daughters, and helped raise five grandchildren. Elizabeth was a homemaker that was a wonderful cook, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she gave the sweetest hugs. She was loved by all including her neighbors and friends. Elizabeth and Theodore were members of Alberta Baptist Church since 1955. Pallbearers will be Gavin Sparks, Mitch Stevens, Robby Frederick, Jeremy Plowman, Billy Drake, and John Settle.Honorary pallbearers are members of Alberta Baptist Church, Dr. Bob Grubbs, Neighbors of Carolwood Estates, and nurses of DCH.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Baptist Building Fund; donations may be made at www.albertabaptist.org.
