Mary Efimedia Raptis Kent, 86, Zanesville, Ohio, and formerly of Sarasota, died May 26, 2003, at Geneis-Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville. She was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Cambridge, Ohio, and lived in Sarasota from 1981 to 1996. She retired as an executive secretary and administrative assistant for the Department of State in Liberia. She graduated from Ohio University and attended Church of LifeGiving Fountain Greek Orthodox Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Survivors include a son, Michael of Berkeley, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Services and burial will be in Ohio, where Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, is in charge.
