ALBANY Mary E. Spencer Smith, died October 26, 2003 at the Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home. Mary was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident. She was employed for 29 years for the former Public View Bakery and for 23 years for the former Albany Dutch Oven Bakery, retiring in 1973. Mary was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church. Wife of the late George (Rogan) J. Smith; sister of the late Thomas H. Spencer; daughter of the late Thomas S. Spencer and Isabella M. Prest; aunt of the late Henry G. and Thomas Spencer, III. Aunt of Mrs. Robert (Rosemary) Childs and Mrs. Charles (Evelyn May) Francis. Funeral from the Magin and Keegan Funeral Home, 891 Madison Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m and St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery.
