MILLER, Mary E., 85, lifelong native of Montgomery, AL and lifelong member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, died in Berkeley, CA on March 3, 2002 after a brief illness. She was appreciated by her father Joseph E. Miller, her mother Harriet S. Miller, her sister, Margaret M. McPherson and her brother, Joseph E. Miller, Jr. She is survived and mourned by her niece, Mary Anne McP. Oliver of Berkeley, CA; her nephews, James C. McPherson, Jr. of Meridian, MS, Jay Miller McPherson of Tucson, AZ, Joseph E. Miller, III of Winterville, GA and four grandnieces and nephews. She attended Lanier High School and Huntingdon College and served with distinction as Secretary and Editorial Assistant with the U.S. Army during the War and afterward with the U. S. Air University under Lt. General Walter E. Todd. Funeral services will be held March 16, 2002 in Berkeley, CA and her cremains laid to rest in the Family Mausoleum (Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans) in April.
