Mary E. Hayes 91, of North Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. Mary was born in Fort Plain, NY and had resided in the Syracuse area for over 60 years. She retired in 1984 after 30 years with GE. She was a 1940 graduate of East Syracuse High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving with the WAC Detachment. Mary was predeceased by her son, Daniel John Hunziker in 2004; five sisters, Catherine Morgan, Evelyn Boldt, Margaret Morgan, Frances Brossett and Dorothy Shepard; two brothers, Walter Hayes and Robert Hayes. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne St., East Syracuse. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Collamer Cemetery.
