GUILFORD - Mary E. (Fleming) Coleman, of Guilford, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Connecticut Hospice,Branford. She was born in Lawrence, Mass., the daughter of the late Michael J. and Hanora (Nora) Hickey Fleming. She was predeceased by her husband, James J. Coleman, of Guilford.Prior to her death, Mary was an active member at St. George Church as well as a third order secular Franciscan.Mary is survived by four sons, John P. (Cindy), of Plantsville, Michael J. (Kathy), of Wallingford, Thomas E. (Lynn), of Portland, and William J. (Jenni), of Cumming, Ga.; and her daughter, Nancy E., of Guilford. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Erin, Shannon, Colleen & Kevin (Plantsville); Michael & Mark (Wallingford); Patrick & Kelly (Portland); Caitlin & Matthew (Cumming, Ga.).She was predeceased by her son, Robert J., of Guilford; as well as her two brothers, James (Joseph) Fleming and John M. Fleming, both of Massachusetts.Friends may call on Tuesday, January 3, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Guilford Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford, on Wednesday, January 4, at 11:30 am. Burial will follow Mass at the St. George Cemetery, Hubbard Road, Guilford.Contributions in Mrs. Coleman's memory may be made to Connecticut Hospice.
