"Mother" Mary Davis, 76, died on Aug. 21, 2005, at her home. She was born in Monticello and lived almost all her life in St Lucie County. She was a cafeteria worker at Lincoln Park Academy and the mother and pastor of Davis Temple Church of God In Christ 4. Survivors include her son, James A. Davis Jr. of Daytona Beach; daughters, Mary Davis of Fort Pierce and Patricia Jackson of Tampa; sister, Martha Brown of Vero Beach; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Davis; son, Michael Wayne-Davis; father, Joe Green; mother, Daisy Johnson-Green; and stepmother, Pearlie Mae Johnson-Green. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 26 at Davis Temple Church of God in Christ 4, Fort Pierce, and from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 27 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel.
