Mary D. Lowe, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at home on Friday, May 9, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Chatham, N.J. 07928. Born in Woodstock, Va., on Oct. 17, 1927, Mary was the daughter of Douglas and Lois Smoot Dymock. She lived in Chatham Borough, N.J., for almost 60 years. Mary was employed by Bloomingdale's, Short Hills, N.J., for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and belonged to the Chatham Garden Club. She was a past member of the Chatham Fish and Game Club. She loved traveling to her Southern roots in the Shenandoah Valley. Mary was an avid reader and an excellent seamstress, great cook, and baker. Her love of family, faith in God, creative style and grace, made her the great Southern lady she was. Her calm demeanor was embraced by all. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Reginald J. Lowe; her brother, James G. Dymock, and her son, Reginald J. Lowe Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Meredith, and her husband, Gerald Fox; her sons, Matthew and his wife, Ann; Gregory and his wife, Laurie; Randolph and his wife, Terri; Darren and his wife, Patty, and Christopher and his wife, Michelle; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
