Mary Curtis Mundy Oliver, 84, of Chestnut Mountain passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009. She was born in Hall County on Dec. 8, 1924. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra Curtis and Shellie Propes Mundy; and her brother, W. Horace Mundy. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Newton "W.N." Oliver; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sally Oliver of Chestnut Mountain; daughter, Marcia Oliver Hammock of Chestnut Mountain; grandchildren, Kathryn and Chad Hutcheson, Jonathan and Veronica Oliver, Caroline Oliver, Shellie Hammock and Ryan Hammock; great-grandchildren, William Oliver and Isabelle Oliver; brother and sister-in-law, M. Ben and Dr. Gwendolyn Mundy. Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Highway, Gainesville. Funeral service will be Sunday, March 15, 2009, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church, 4903 Chestnut Mountain Circle, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. The Rev. Phil Carpenter, the Rev. John Batusic and the Rev. Ronnie Wales will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
