DAVIS, Mary Catherine (Cathy)Born April 14, 1962 in Nashville, TN; died September 1, 2011 in Nashville. Born with Spina Bifida, Cathy maintained a spirit of cheerfulness and determination throughout her life. Her quiet dignity and courage in the face of adversity were an inspiration to many. Cathy graduated from Overton High School and Belmont University. She was a lifelong member of Belmont United Methodist Church. Cathy is survived by parents, Sunshine Hollar Davis and Kenneth R. Davis; her sister and brother-in-law, Teresa Davis Proctor and Robert J. Proctor. A private graveside service was held September 3, 2011 in Fairview Cemetery, Newbern, TN. As she had requested, Cathy was interred beside her grandfather, C. Hays Hollar. Cathy's family and friends will celebrate her life at a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., on September 24, 2011 at Belmont UMC, 2007 Acklen Ave. in Nashville, with visitation starting at 10 a.m.
