She loved her kids, her dog, and doing crafts.In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by a daughter, Rene' Hyatt (David) of Piedmont; two sons, Rodney Stephens of Greenville, and Tracy Stephens (Cathy) of Pelzer; step-children, Rick Goodwin of CO, Wray Goodwin, Jr. of AZ, Donna Myers and Catherine Goodwin both of FL; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Cater of TX; and two sisters, Linda Manley of Easley, and Della Campbell of Lexington.She was predeceased by her step-mother, Mildred B. Cater; a brother, Bill Metcalf, and a granddaughter, Nikki Huff.Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 in the mausoleum chapel of Greenville Memorial Gardens, with entombment following the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chris Stephens Ministries, c/o Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union, 75 Reedy View Drive, Greenville, SC 29601.The family will be at their respective homes.Condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.thomasmcafee.com.
