Ret. Owner/Operator Peddlers Way Antique Shop NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Mary Beasley Carter, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, June 19, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Russell Carter for 60 years. Mrs. Carter was born in Darien, GA to the late Miles C. and Olivia Rowe Beasley. She moved to the North Augusta/Midland Valley Area in 1969. She worked as the shift nurse for Clearwater Finishing Plant and was the retired owner and operator of Peddlers Way Antique Shop. Mrs. Carter was a member of Langley First Baptist Church. Surviving along with her husband Russell, are their children, Fred Carter (Peggy), Warrenton, GA, Karen Blair, North Augusta, SC, Dennis Carter (Laurie), Graniteville, SC, Kenny Carter (Pam), Grovetown, GA and Tracy King (Jimmy), North Augusta, SC; a brother, Donnie Beasley (Blanche), Claxton, GA; several nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 o'clock in Langley First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Garvin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Casey Carter, Clint Carter, Mitchell Carter, Nathan Carter, Greg Cato and Danny Jenkins. The family has requested that memorials be made to Langley First Baptist Church, P.O. Box, Langley, SC 29834. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy. No. 1, Langley, SC.
