Executive Secretary APPLING, Ga.- Mrs. Mary Carter Morris, 82, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Brandon Wilde in Evans. She was the wife of the late Mr. Bernard Allen Morris, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2003 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. John Watley and Rev. Allen Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Morris was a native of Columbus and had made the Augusta area her home for the past 60 years. She was a retired executive secretary at Trust Company Bank. Mrs. Morris was a member of the White Oak United Methodist Church, Appling, the Iris Club in Augusta, where she had served as president and treasurer. She was past president of the National Secretarys Association and a previous member of Toastmasters, the Bell Meade Country Club, and the Thomson Boat Club. Survivors include one daughter, Carole M. Wright, Augusta; three sons, Allen Morris, Martinez, H. Carter Morris, Evans, William D. Morris, Martinez; one brother, William C. Carter, Columbus; two sisters, Esther C. Williams, Columbus, Carmel C. Hearn, Salem, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Tripp Morris, Ashleigh M. Lawrence, J. Hunter Morris, Taylor C. Morris, Alison S. Wright, Travis Wright, Dawson Morris, and Hardy Morris; and three great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Leonard Hill, Jerry Hardin, Arthur Grimaud, Jason Grimaud, Lee Fulbright, Whitney OKeeffe. Honorary pallbearers will be Cree Kilpatrick, Don Beasley, Bill Coleman, George Barnes, William Prescott, and Tom Herndon.
