Mary Carpenter January 6, 1934 September 13, 2010 Mary Ann (Wichorek) Carpenter was born January 6, 1934 in Weekes, Saskatchewan. She passed away September 13, 2010, at Saskatoon City Hospital. Mary attended school at Dunwell, SK. In 1951, Mary married Delbert Hearn. They lived near Weekes. Together they had two children, Marjorie and Douglas. The marriage ended in the mid fifties. In 1955 Mary met the love of her life, Leonard Carpenter. They married in 1983. Mary worked at the Salvation Army, the Senator Hotel, Quaker Oats, Sears and at St. Joseph's Home. Mary loved to golf, fish, camp and play cards. She will always be remembered for being kind to animals. Mary is survived by her loving husband Leonard of Saskatoon; brother Stan (Justina) of Prince Albert; two children, Douglas of Fort St. James, BC, grandchildren Kyle, Matthew, Karrie, and Sherry; daughter Marjorie (George) of Springside, SK, and grandchildren Rhonda (Mike) Toupin of Lloydminster, SK, Crystal (Curtis) Lanz of Mission, BC, Greg Weber of Springside and Bradley Weber (JerriAnn) of Saskatoon. There are three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jordan and Jaykeb and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by mother Annie (1936) and father Adam (1978). Mary touched the lives of many people and will be missed by all. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staffs of Royal University Hospital and City Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Osteoporosis Society. The funeral is at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Saskatoon Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The active pallbearers will be Larry Chapman, Randy Chapman, Vern Chapman, Donnie Klibeour, Kirby Klibeour, Les Carpenter and honourary pallbearers will be Mary's grandchildren.
