Mary-C. Burns, née en 1921, fille de Richard-L et Mary, est décédée le 23 septembre 1921.
She was born in Lowell, Sept. 23, 1921, daughter of the late Richard L. and Mary M. (Wallace) Burns. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1935 and later from Lowell State Teachers College in 1943, with a bachelor's degree in education.Ms. Burns was a teacher with the Chelmsford and Merrimac School Systems. She retired from the Lowell School System in 1982, after teaching at the Molloy School for 30 years.She was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Lowell, St. Margaret Church in Lowell, where she belonged to the Blessed Virgin Sodality, and St. John the Evangelist Church of North Chelmsford.She was a member of the Retired State, County and Municipal Employee's Association, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts Inc. and the League of Catholic Women.Ms. Burn's survivors include many cousins, including M. Gladys Garrigan of Chelmsford; three godchildren, Janice Guerrio of West Roxbury, Carole Garrigan of Naples, Fla. and Melissa Vandette of Attleboro; and two close friends, Patricia and Marguerite Royal, both of Lowell.She was also the cousin of the late Eleanor Wetmore and the late Geraldine McAleer.
