Mary (Dooley) Bragg Mary (Dooley) Bragg NEEDHAM Mary (Dooley) Bragg of Needham, formerly of Wellesley Hills, died December 24, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence D. Bragg, Jr. Beloved mother of Lawrence D. Bragg III and his wife Janet of Brookline, Andrew A. Bragg of FL, Catherine B. Lanier and her husband Henry of NY, Edward B. Bragg of NM. Cherished grandmother of David, Lauren, Cara, William, Noah, Eleanor and Caroline. Devoted sister of the late Anne Dooley. Late former Trustee Wellesley College and Abbot Academy, Andover, Mass. Mary D. Bragg graduated from Wellesley College in 1940 and served the college as a trustee and in many other roles including frequent class reunion chairman. She was also a trustee of Abbot Academy, from which she graduated in 1936, at the time of its merger with Phillips Andover Academy. She also served as a docent and member of the Ladies Committee of the Museum of Fine Arts and as president of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and Massachusetts Farm and Garden. After college she worked at MITs Radiation Laboratory during World War II and taught at Abbot. Funeral from the J. S. Waterman & Sons-Waring Funeral Home, 592 Washington St., (Rt. 16) Wellesley was Monday, Dec. 28th, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church, Wellesley. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Wellesley College Development Office, 106 Central St, Wellesley, MA 02481.
