Anniston - Home going service for Mrs. Mary Beatrice Anderson Tippins, "Madea," 86, will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at 16th and Noble Street Church of Christ with Bro. Marvin Jones, Pastor, officiating and Ervin Funeral Chapel, LLC directing. Burial will be in the Jenifer Cemetery. Public visitation will commence today from noon until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The remains will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Tippins passed away on June 16, 2011 at RMC. Mrs. Tippins will be truly missed by those that she cherished and loved dearly. She leaves behind nine children, Mary (Alvin) Whatley, Anthony (Patricia) Tippins, Randy Tippins, Janice Tippins, and Linda (Calvin) Ingram, all of Anniston, Judy Tippins, of Millbrook, Ladricka Foster and Travis (Vivian) Foster, of Columbus, Ohio, and Derek (Lashondra) Tippins, of Huntsville; one sister, Elma (Charles) Vincent, of Anniston; two brothers-in-law, Fred Tippins of Detroit, Mich. and Billy Lewis (Dorothy) Tippins of Compton, Calif., two sisters-in-law, Johnnie Mae Anderson, of Youngstown, Ohio and Onetha Tippins, of Anniston; two daughters-in-law, Rena Tippins and Kathy Tippins, both of Anniston; twenty-four grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a special friend of many years, Mrs. Arie Francis Richey; her 16th and Noble Street Church family, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Mrs. Tippins was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Anderson; her husband, James; sons, James and William; a special foster daughter, Francis Davis Johnson; grandchildren, Bridgette Sharp, Todrick Jones, and Kennedy Foster; brothers, Willie Howard, Ollie Frank, Ben, Ernest, Jessie and Robert Anderson; and sisters, Ella Lee Sistrunk, Maggie Jemison, and Cora Moon.
