-->Mary Baker Fain SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mary Baker Fain, 92, of Mountain View Nursing Home, formerly of Wesley Street, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born June 22, 1916, in Kyles Ford, TN, she was the daughter of the late Alfred David and Lela Wallen Baker and the wife of the late Hal Harris Fain. She was a charter member of Evangel Cathedral. Survivors include two sons, Manuel D. Fain and his wife Joyce M. of Spartanburg, and Estal A. Fain and his wife Cate Abraham of Johnson City, TN; a daughter-in-law, Regina Georgia Fain of Union, SC; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Donald E. Fain and Mickuel L. Fain; a daughter, Ruth F. Henson; three sisters, Sophie B. Livesay, Stella B. West, and Eva Baker King; and three brothers, Alonzo D. Baker, Claude T. Baker, and Oscar B. Baker. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jan King and the Rev. Jerry Clevenger. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evangel Cathedral Building Fund, 500 Evangel Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
