McCORMACK Dr. Mary Anne. It is with deep sadness that our family announces the death of our loving mother and grandmother on Friday July 6, 2007. She will be forever lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her brother, Matthew Mahoney; her son-in-law, Carl Halbgewachs; and her daughter-in-law, Beverly McCormack. She is survived by daughter, Mary Halbgewachs (Wayne), grandchildren, Deirdre, Brendan, Colin, and Shauna; daughter, Patricia McCormack; son, Francis, grandchildren, Brian and Brenna; son, Paul (Lori), grandchildren, Kieran, Brigid and Mairead. Mary was born in Airdrie, Scotland on September 13, 1920. She qualified in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 1946, and practiced in the area. In 1952, she married Dr. Frank McCormack and together they worked in Kilsyth, Scotland. The family immigrated to Canada in 1965. Once in Saskatchewan, she practiced with Dr. Frank in Wadena and Invermay and in 1971 moved to Saskatoon where she practiced until her retirement in 1986. Prayers will be offered at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1775 Tzouhalem Road, Duncan, BC on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Hospice Society.
