Funeral services for Mary Anne Knight Hamilton, 62, will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 22 at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor A. G. McKinney will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Hamilton will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Mrs. Hamilton died Friday, July 15, 2011 in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dessie Hamilton; her parents, Ennis and Lee Zettie Knight; sister, Clara Knight and brothers, Clarence and Clifton Knight. She was a member of Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church; was educated at Alabama School for the Blind; and was employed by Alabama Institute for the Death and Blind. Survivors are her sons, Charles (LaTonya) Mumpfield of Huntsville and Clifford (Deborrah) Hamilton of Wedowee; sisters, Ada (James) Miller of Grand Bay, Zettie (Robert) Sandifer of Hazlehurst, MS, Sallie Moton of Talladega and Fannie (Claude) Baker of Birmingham; brothers, Willie Knight of Talladega, Ennis Knight, Jr. of Mobile, Brasize Knight of Corbin, KY, Willie Knight of Birmingham and Ray Knight of Corbin, KY and five grandchildren, Tyeshail Conner, Miyana Hamilton, Terri Hamilton, Charleston Mumpfield and Carlie Mumpfield. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.
