ANDERSON- Mary Ann Therese age 74, died after a bout of pneumonia at the University of Chicago hospital on Thursday, July 5, 2007. She is survived by four children: two daughters and two sons-in-law, Erin and Adrian De'Ath of Chicago, Illinois and Christa and Carl Petitt of Powell, Ohio; one daughter, Mary Jo Anderson of Chicago, Illinois and one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Paige Anderson of Alexandria, Virginia. She is also survived by a grandson Cameron Petitt of Powell, Ohio and her four brothers, Fr. Fran Braun, Jerome Braun, and Paul Braun of Buffalo, New York and Fr. John Braun of St. Petersburg, Florida. Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her husband Robert Gerald, her sister Jo Ann Crittenden and her parents George and Mary Ann (Henessy) Braun. Born in Buffalo, New York, on May 17, 1933, Mrs. Anderson attended Holy Angels Academy and Canisius College. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. She practiced nursing for 12 years prior to raising her children. Mrs. Anderson was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Troy, Ohio and was most recently a resident of Bethlehem Woods retirement community in LaGrange Park, Illinois. She was buried in Troy, Ohio on July 12th following a funeral mass presided by her brother Fr. John Braun at St. Patrick's Church.
