Mary Ann Stokes of Endicott Mary Ann Stokes, 76, of Endicott went to the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2007. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John L. Stokes; her father, John Thornton; her brother, John Thornton III; her sister, Jeanne Jennings; and her stepdaughter, Kay Howard. She is survived by her cherished mother, Mary Thornton; and her brother, Joseph (Joan) Thornton; her daughter, Mary Ann Barnett; her stepdaughters, Delores Stokes and Pamela Rogers; several grandchildren; and a host of very special nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. "Aunt Mary" derived happiness and love of life through her close and endearing relationships with her family and friends as well as her abiding faith. As she kept others always in her prayers, she asks that she be remembered in their prayers. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 12, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott.
