SHANAHAN, Mary Ann(nee Bisetto)July 14, 1957 – December 10, 2014Arrived in '57. Departed at 57. It is with heavy heart that I, John, announce the passing of My Love, My Life, Mary. She put up with me for over 35 years (August 18, 1979) but I know she loved it. Passed away on the night of December 10, 2014 with family members by her side. She leaves behind our 2 Furry Girls; Hailey and Holly. Predeceased by father Artemio, mother Fulvia and brother John. Dear sister of Sergio (Margaret), Gulio, Anna Korva (Mario). Cherished sister-in-law of Mike and the late Helen, the late Patricia Richards (Bruce), Carol Merrett and Tom (Marie). Also at a loss are many cousins, nieces and nephews. Special recognition to my sister Carol and her son (and somewhat my look-alike) Matthew. Without their help, I would not have as comfortable a time dealing with this as I am. Mary was retired (2011) from Canada Post after 34+ years and a member of the Canadian Anglo Club. Special thanks to Drs. Ghafoor and Mathews, Nurse Muna, the paramedic team, ER nurses and all the nurses of the 4th floor Oncology Department of Met Hospital who did all they could to help.Please Note- Since Mary and I enjoyed camping with our friends and have been on two cruises with plans for more, I would like to celebrate Mary's life with casual attire for visitation. Please leave suits, ties and the like at home on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations to Transition to Betterness would be appreciated by the family.
