ROGERS Mary Ann Rogers, (affectionately known as “ Mambo” ), 88, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at Community Hospice at the Morris Center. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Guy Vincent Rogers, and her grandson, Russell Rogers. She was born on November 15, 1915, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania and married at St. Procopius Church, New Salem, Pennsylvania, on November 25, 1936. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Marie Rogers of Orange Park, FL; two sons, Ronald Vincent Rogers and his wife, Joyce, of Sacrameto, California, and Father Andrew Rogers of Fenton, Michigan; three grandchildren, Cindy Maloney, Ronald Rogers and Scott Rogers and seven great grandchildren, Vanessa, Matthew, Joshua, Amber, Nick, Natalie and Daniel Rogers. She was a devoted wife and mother, great seamstress and excellent cook. Following the death of her dear husband in 1968, she trained and worked as a nurse's aide for the elderly and as a licensed manicurist until she moved from Michi gan to Florida in 1989 to join her daughter. The funeral mass will be held 11 AM Monday, March 1, 2004 at St. Catherines Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL. The family will receive friends in the church hall immediately following the funeral mass. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday evening, February 29th at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. with rosary prayer services to be held at 7 PM. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road.
