WALLINGFORD - Mary Ann Rish Moore, 85, of North Whittlesey Ave., beloved wife of John F. Moore, died, Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Home. She was born in Wallingford, July 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Anthony A. and Marianna Kotwic Rish, and had been a lifelong Wallingford resident. She was a parishioner St. Casimir's National Catholic Church where she served as Church President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She also was a parishioner Most Holy Trinity Church. She had been President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Shaw Sinon Post #73, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lufbery Post #591, and had been a Past President of the Wallingford Senior Center, where she was a very active volunteer. She was Past President and a very active member of the AARP Wallingford Chapter, and had served as Chairlady of Hospitality for the Wallingford Tercentenary in 1970. Besides her husband, John, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen Ann Moore Vener and Barry Vener of New York City and Branford; her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin R. and Catherine Moore of Moab, Utah; two grandsons, Brendan Charles Moore and Oran John Moore; two brothers, Joseph J. Rish and his wife, Marie, and Anthony K. Rish; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Steven Rish; and her three sisters, Stacia Wrona, Agnes Rish and Helen Tyburski. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at St. Casmir's National Catholic Church, 240 Quinnipiac St., Wallingford, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment in In Memoriam Cemetery will be private.
