Hopper, Mary AnnJan. 15, 2010Mary Ann Hopper of Pickerington, Ohio, died Jan. 15, 2010.Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Schoedinger East Chapel in Columbus, Ohio. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor Chapel in Columbus. Burial will immediately follow the service at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mary Ann was born and grew up in Decatur, Ill., daughter to the late Julius and Mary Ann Gimpel. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Paul Hedrick and William Hopper, and nine siblings. A true lady, Mary Ann was very supportive and nurturing of others, always putting their needs before her own. A member of Seton Parish, Pickerington, and University Park Country Club in Sarasota, Mary Ann enjoyed swimming and traveling, but most of all, she enjoyed and loved her family. She is survived by her son, Dr. Sterling Hedrick; grandchildren Christian (Katie) Hedrick and Dr. Elizabeth (Joshua) Wehner; sisters-in-law Louise Barringer and Nancy Corzine; niece Sara "Sally" (Roger) Marable; nephews Allen (Louise) Corzine and Gov. Jon Corzine; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, 5199 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43213.
