Mary Ann Hayes, age 92, of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at New Horizons North Nursing Home following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Kinney will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, from 6–9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hayes was born May 20, 1920, in Winder, Ga., to the late David Self and Eva Lena Kidd Self. She was a homemaker and a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John C. Hayes.Mrs. Hayes is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Terry Hambrick of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jewell and Ann Hayes of Statham, Ga., Ernest Hayes of Oakwood, James Hayes of North Georgia, Bobby and Joan Hayes of Chestnut Mountain, Johnny Hayes of Gainesville and Jimmy and Robin Hayes of Gainesville; 19 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.Send online condolences to www.memorialparkfuneralhomes.com
