Murphy, Mary-AliceJuly 6, 2007Mary-Alice Murphy, Sarasota, formerly of Charlotte, N.C., died July 6, 2007.Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.There are no known survivors. Her many friends include the members of Hannah Circle of First Presbyterian Church, who will host a gathering following the memorial service.Mary-Alice was a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education. She worked as a teacher and occupational therapist in Sarasota and volunteered her time in numerous areas of community and church life, where she an advocate for education and women's ministry.Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund, 2050 Oak St., Sarasota, FL 34237.
