Beal, Mary AliceMary Alice Beal of Bridgeport was born February 9, 1924 to ZigmondZarko and Mary Zolancievcic in Roaring Creek, Pennsylvania. She worked for many years at General Electric Company in Bridgeport. She enjoyed being a mother and homemaker, and especially her Saturday night "card games" with her friends and family. She was an expert quilter. She enjoyed cooking "homemade" meals for her friends and family. She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Wallace E. Beal. She is also predeceased by her sister Helen Lott, and four brothers, "Buck", John, Zigmond Jr., and Leonard Zarko. Survivors include her sister Pearl Jurbala of Scranton, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her daughters Betty Barnett and her husband James of Stratford, Jena Schaefer of Mooresville, North Carolina, Diana Beal of Stratford, and four sons; Barry Abidor and his wife Mercy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Gerard Abidor and his wife Priscilla of Trumbull, Wallace Beal Jr. and his wife Joan of Stratford, and Robert Beal and his wife Debra of Milford. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.There will be a private ceremony held on Friday February 8, 2013.
