BAKER, MARY ALICE, 86Gainesville - Mary Alice Baker, age 86 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at her son's home in Tavernier, Florida after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 16, 1926 in Ocala, Florida to William W. and Beatrice Beckham Horne. She retired from General Electric where she was employed as a battery tester. Mrs. Baker enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with friends. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Candy Baker of Key Largo, FL, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Rev. Bill Keith officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
