MARY ALICE BAKER LOWELL, IN Mary Alice Baker, 91, of Lowell, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013. She was born July 12, 1921 in Loudon, TN to John V. and Edna Blanche (nee Lewis) Hickman who preceded her in death. Survived by children: Nancy J. (Norbert) Piepho of Dyer and Dennis J. (Cheryl) Baker of Glendale, AZ; daughter-in-law, Dana (Baker) Bullock of Knox, IN; grandchildren: Michael D. (Marsha) Piepho of Dyer, Michelle (George) Kontol of Demotte, and Melissa L. Sims of Dyer; great-grandchildren: Nicole and Miranda Sims, Jake, Allison, and Sarah Piepho, and Courtney Kontol; sisters-in-law: Nellie and Etta Baker; brother-in-law, Joseph Lukacsek; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, James A.; son, Jimmie D.; sisters: Pearl Resmondo and Julia Osburn; brothers: John Jr. and Morris Cooper Hickman. Mary was a charter member of the Lowell VFW Auxiliary and life member of VFW Auxiliary. She was a past member of the Volunteer Fireman Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Lowell Church of Christ since 1943. Cremation will precede visitation, Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, concluding with a memorial service at 12:00 noon all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E.
