ASHLAND - Mary Adrienne (Brunt) Sanborn, 89, died at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen on Nov. 17, 2010, following a period of failing health.Born in Watertown, Mass., on Aug. 2, 1921, the daughter of George and Cecilia (Hill) Brunt, she was a long-time resident of Ashland. She attended Ashland schools and was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1939.Adrienne was employed at Fifield's Variety Store in Ashland for many years and was also employed at the U.S. Post Office in Ashland and Bailey's 5-dime store.She was a member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church where she played the organ for 50 years and was a founder of the children's choir at Saint Agnes.She enjoyed bowling,cooking, knitting oil painting, sewing , and most of all her family.She was a member of Dupuis-Cross Post 15, American Legion Auxiliary.She was predeceased in 1994 by her husband, Bernard "Bunny" Sanborn.She leaves sons Dennis Sanborn and wife Sharon of Belmont; Robert Sanborn of Laconia; and David Sanborn and wife Anne of Ashland; daughters Bonnie Morrison and husband Colin of Concord, Deborah Kelly and husband Ritchard of Plymouth, and Sheryl Lambert and husband Roger of Connecticut; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and sister Lorraine Sturtevant of Belmont.Calling hours will be at the Dupuis Funeral Home, Hill Avenue, Ashland, on Friday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. in Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Hill Avenue, Ashland.
