ANDERSON, Mary June 9, 1920 - December 4, 2010 It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary. She was a great lady who had an extraordinary life and developed a lasting, world-wide circle of friends. She was an avid mountaineer and skier. Born in Ruthwell, Dumfries, Scotland she came to Canada in 1951. Following the death of her husband Arthur D. Anderson in 1979, she devoted her life to providing exceptional and kind care to people in their homes. The families of those she cared for owe her an everlasting debt of gratitude. The families of John D. Rennie and Dr Charles S. Rennie considered Mary to be part of their families. A commemorative gathering will be held 2:00pm to 4:30pm on January 22nd at the UBC Golf Club. Donations to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
