ASHLAND -- Mary Adrienne (Brunt) Sanborn, 89, died at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen on Nov. 17, 2010, after a period of failing health. She was born in Watertown, Mass., on Aug. 2, 1921, to George and Cecilia (Hill) Brunt. She was a longtime resident of Ashland, attending Ashland schools and graduating from Ashland High School in 1939. She was employed at Fifield's Variety Store in Ashland for many years, as well as the U.S. Post Office in Ashland and Bailey 5-Dime Store. She was a member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church, where she played the organ for 50 years and was a founder of the children's choir. She was also a member of Dupuis-Cross Post No. 15 American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, knitting, oil painting, sewing and most of her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard &quot;Bunny&quot; Sanborn, in 1994. IN HER LIFE: Family members include three sons, Dennis Sanborn and his wife, Sharon, of Belmont, Robert Sanborn of Laconia and David Sanborn and his wife, Anne, of Ashland; three daughters, Bonnie Morrison and her husband, Colin, of Connecticut, Deborah Kelly and her husband, Ritchard, of Plymouth, Sheryl Lambert and her husband, Roger, of Connecticut; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and sister Lorraine Sturtevant of Belmont. SERVICES: Calling hours are at Dupuis Funeral Home, Hill Avenue, Ashland, on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Hill Avenue, Ashland. Burial will follow in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland.
