Mary A. Shea Mary Alyce Shea (née Alice Richard), 89, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, September 8, 2006, at the Georges-L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton. Born in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Dosithe and the late Esther (née LeBlanc) Richard, and wife of the late Leo G. (Lee) Shea. Mary was a bookkeeper, accountant, and homemaker; her loves were family, music, singing, and skiing. Mary is survived by one sister, Doris Greenwood of Moncton; her daughters, Suzanne LeBlanc of Moncton, and Maureen Shea of Shediac; and by her son, Pat (Maureen) Shea of Winnipeg and his children, Andrea and Kevin. She is also survived by her stepsister, Nathalie Leger; stepbrother Edmond LeBlanc of Middle Sackville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Mary is predeceased by her stepfather, Marc LeBlanc; sister, Emerice Cormier formerly of Sackville, sister Del Kennedy formerly of Moncton, and sister Bertha Savoie formerly of Dorchester. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church in Moncton at 2:30pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2006. The mass will be followed by a reception, the location of which will be announced after the mass. In keeping with Mary's request, there will be no funeral home visitation. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to her friend, Father Murray Abraham, to further his work with the poor in Darjeeling, India.
