Martin T. Mitchell 1960 - 2012 SPRINGFIELD - Martin "Mitch" T. Mitchell, 52, of Springfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center. Mitch son of Thomas M. Mitchell and the late Ruth (Perry) Mitchell was born in Springfield on March 3, 1960. Raised in West Springfield he attended West Springfield Public Schools. Mitch was employed as a car salesman for the past 10 years for FDR Auto on Verge Street. He resided in West Brookfield for 6 years and in Springfield most of his life. In addition to his mother he was predeceased by a sister, Andretta. Besides his father, Mitch is survived by his children, Michael Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell and Alexandra Mitchell; three brothers, Andrew Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, and James Mitchell; four sisters, Faith J. Hinton- Groll, Mary A. Williams, Sheila A. Howard, and Lisa McCarthy; a grandson, Dawn-Dahmyyez; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours for Mitch will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. His funeral will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker Street, Springfield. Burial will be private.
