Funeral service for Martha Williams, 85, Daytona Beach, who went to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, will be 11 a.m. Friday at International Christian Centre, 101 Indigo Drive in Daytona Beach with her son, Pastor Paul L. Williams Sr., officiating alongside Dr. Jerry Barnard. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Haigh-Black Funeral Home, 167 Vining Court, Ormond Beach, and Friday morning at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Martha, a homemaker, was born in Daytona Beach, August 27, 1922, to Robert Lee and Effie Clifton Becks. As a pastor's wife, she was greatly involved in congregational growth and ministry. For over 50 years she supported her husband, the late Rev. Joseph Jordan Williams, in his alliance with The International Pentacostal Holiness Church, denominationally based in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting various ceramic creations. She also loved to travel to London, Jordan, Egypt, and especially to Israel which she did many times. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1996, she is survived by two sons, Paul L. Williams Jr., Longwood, Fla., and Robert J. Williams, Tallahassee; brother, Berrien H. Becks Sr., Daytona Beach; five grandchildren, Paul L. Williams Jr., Audra Smith, Marcia Martin, Aaron Williams, and Hanna Robinson; seven great-grandchildren, Teddy Tirado, Dylan Williams, Carolyne Smith, Jordan Smith, Justin Martin, Anna Williams and Ava Williams.
