SYLVANIA -- Martha Mozelle Sheley Parker, age 86, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. She was born in Screven County, Ga., was a homemaker and was as a volunteer at Syl-View Health Care Center in Sylvania, where she received Volunteer of the Year twice. She was also a member of McBride United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Earl Parker Sr.; parents, Lozon and Ruby Minchey Sheley; sisters, Anita S. Thompson and Marilyn S. Lynch; brothers, Walter Stewart, Carson Stewart and Lewis Sheley Sr.Survivors: sons and daughter-in-law, Joe and Pam Parker and Glenn Parker, all of Sylvania; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Bill and Carla Parker of Graniteville, S.C., and Jerald and Jessica Parker of Douglasville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Hazel Parker, Will Parker, Jacob Parker, Micah Parker, Rowan Parker and Elyse Parker; several nieces and nephews.The graveside service will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at 2 p-.m. in the McBride United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Travis Smith officiating.
