Martha Brewer Parker came from Niceville to Holt, Fla., with her late husband William Jefferson "Pete" Parker in 1949. They had one child, Elanine Cawthon and her husband Ronnie of Holt and a "just like my child" Donna Ash and husband Al of Crestview, Fla. They were blessed with two grandchildren, Kimberly Norwood and Tammi Dingess and husband David. They had four greats, Kara Michelle Dingess and Michael Jeffrey Dingess, Delayney Jayde Norwood and Roxy Parker Norwood, all of Baker. Martha is survived by her dear twin sister, Mary Reeves (Ted); and four loving nieces, Johnie Ann Wheeler of Cullman, Linda (Butch) Nicomento and JoAnn (Frankie) Clementino, all of Niceville, and Kay (Danny) Dell of Los Angeles; and a nephew, Allen (Linda) Reeves of Seattle. Linda Nicomento lovingly referred to Mary and Martha as the "M&Ms" and traveled extensively when they were able. Martha is also survived by Pete's side of the family, her dear sister and brother-in-law, Madge and Michael Pickens of Holt; and cousins, J.T. and Elsie Garrett of Crestview. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Dora Brewer; two loving sisters, Mildred and Lois; and three brothers, Jack, Frank and J.L. Brewer. The WMU ladies, Homemakers Class and pastor kept in constant touch, as did many lifelong friends. The many visits and cards made her feel so loved. Many of her family are educators or students so the celebration of her journey will be held Sunday since school begins Monday. There will be a time of visitation at First Baptist of Holt at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 17, with a brief service to follow at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Sanford officiating. Silvercrest Manor and Covenant Hospice have made the past four months comforting and reassuring for all of us; our many thanks to them. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a wonderful organization, Covenant Hospice. Thanks to everyone who visited, prayed and loved our mother.
