ObituaryMartha Jane Bone, 71, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Saturday, June 3, 2006. Jane was born in Philippi, West Virginia in August of 1934 to Martha Creech Good and Dr. Richard P. Good, and in 1938 moved to Kokomo, Indiana. Jane graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952 and later from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a degree in Business Administration.A business owner front 1973 to 1980, Jane was co-owner of the Rollins Nursing Home, in Cicero, lndiana.While living in Kokomo Jane was an active participant in her community and at St. Andrews Episcopal Church where she served on the Vestry and was president of the Episcopal Church Womens organization. Jane also served on the board of directors at the Kokomo Salvation Army, and was elected to the school board at Northwestern High School. She also served as President of the Bata Lamda Chapter of Tri Kappa, and was an active participant in many alumni events.In addition to her many activities within the community Jane served as Office Campaign Manager for Congressman Elwood H. Hillis for several elections.Part of Jane's life was devoted to the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and over the years she served in every office of that organization including President of Chapter R, Kokomo P.E.O., and was later elected President of the Indiana Chapter of P.E.O. In 1983 Jane was married to Charles Howard Bone, of Kokomo, Indiana, who preceded her in death in August of 2005.In 1984 Jane moved to Cape Coral, Florida with Charlie and continued her involvement with P.E.O. serving as President of Chapter GD of Cape Coral.In Florida Jane served as an active member of the Lee County Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association and enjoyed playing bridge with her many sorority sisters.Over the years Jane and Charlie owned a number of boats and loved life on the water. Those who knew Jane will remember her devotion to her faith, her church, her family and friends, and her devotion to philanthropy._ A gourmet cook, Jane loved to enter many cooking contests, winning several, and had dozens of her family recipes published in various cook books and magazines. Jane was also featured in USA Today for her culinary feats. As a mother Jane managed to have a real spirit of adventure raising her kids, also allowing a number of pets in the home including monkeys, snakes, and other assorted "critters". Part of that spirit of adventure included taking her kids and a niece on an extended camping trip throughout Europe, and taking her family on a variety of vacations across the country, and spending many summers at Lake Maxinkuckce.Jane is survived by her brother, the Honorable (Ret.) Judge Richard P. Good of Indianapolis, Indiana, John C. Fern Jr. son, Mounds, OK, Greg Bone, son, Hudson, Ohio; Sheri Fedorchak, daughter, Shepherdstown, WV, Steve Fenn, son, Montesano, Washington; Mark R. Fenn, son, San Francisco, California, Susan Rimar, daughter, Cape Coral, Florida. Jane is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Jane Bone will be interred at a private service with family.In lieu of flowers the family has requested that any donations be sent to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, Florida, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East or to the Epiphany Episcopal Church of Cape Coral, FloridaFuneral Arrangements under the direction of Fuller-Cape Coral Funeral Home-Cremation Service 3740 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, Florida 33904 (239) 574-3434
