MANNING, MARTHA J., 79, of Simpsonville, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 18, 2011. Ms. Manning retired from General Electric. Among those that precede her in death include her parents, Phil Stanley and Mignon Allis; brother, Phil Stanley, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Marie Mills (Ray), Theresa Manning, Melody Lanham (Randy); sons, Jerry Stanley (Sandra), Gary Stanley (Mary) and Tony Manning; sisters, Edith Whitehead (Harvey), Harriet Elzy and Sylvia Crenshaw; a brother, Charles Stanley; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood, and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road).
