Mrs. Martha Hester Martin, 73, Russellville, Ala., died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Friday at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russell-ville. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with burial in Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Billy Taylor.Mrs. Martin lived all her life in Franklin County and was a member of Waco Baptist Church. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Franklin County Democratic Executive Committee for 40 years, member of Easter Star, Franklin County Ladies Cattlemen Association, Northwest Democratic Womens Club and poll watcher for the Democratic Party.She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and in return never failed to show her love and concern for others. She truly will be missed by her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Martin; daughter, Ann Martin Bynon; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Hester Sr.She is survived by her grandchildren, Brian Bynon and wife, Julie, Colby Bynon and wife, Katie, all of Russellville, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Jessica Bynon, Jacob Bynon and Hunter Bynon; several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Dr. Macon Landers, Denzil Martin, Doyle Martin, Greg Lane, Ken Hewlett and Rex Pinkard.Honorary pallbearers will be John Pilati, Bobby Terrell, Jimmy Byars, Jackie Warhurst, Dennis Upchurch, Gerald Hester, Mike Green, Roger Bedford Jr., Ray Fretwell, Joey Newton, Hal Kirby, Larry Prince, Hubert Landers, Martin Golden, Johnny Mack Morrow, Walley Pickett, Elzie Malone, Jeff Clark, Buddy McKinney, Dr. Terry Graves, Roger Hooker, John Hooker Jr., Billy Hooker, Elbert Berryman, Cecil Batchelor, Jerry James, O.H.
