HENRY, Martha EllenAge 89 of Cross Plains, died Monday, April 14, 2008. She was born August 4, 1918 in Robertson County to the late Leslie and Jenny Jones Pitt. She was a retired clerk with LeRoy's Clothing Store. Mrs. Henry was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she served as church organist for 52 years, taught the Senior Girl's and Boy's Sunday School class, was a member of the Senior Achiever's and the Faithful Worker's Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Robertson County Farm Bureau Women. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lon F. Henry. Mrs. Henry is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janyth Henry of Cross Plains and Ted Henry of Cross Plains; grandchildren, Beth (Bruce) Rippy of Cross Plains, Jane (Curt) Mott of Orlinda, Julie (Charles) Stroud of Orlinda, Joe (Lacy) Henry of Pleasant View; great-grandchildren, Brooke (Ivan) Gregory, Brett Rippy, Curtis and Caitlyn Mott, Seth and Jackie Stroud, Brayden Suiter, Tatum Henry. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m., at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with Dr. Bill Owen officiating. Pallbearers will be Bruce Rippy, Brett Rippy, Curt Mott, Curtis Mott, Charles Stroud, Seth Stroud, Joe Henry. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Faithful Worker's Sunday School Class and the Robertson County Farm Bureau Women. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund or to the North Crest Hospice.
