Martha C. Smith, 97, died May 1, 2007, at her residence. She was born in Chicago, Ill., and had been a resident of Hobe Sound since 1977, moving from Glidden, Wis. She worked in a variety of fields, including being a secretary and a cook. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Port Salerno, and past president of the Christian Fellowship in Ridgeway Mobile Home Park. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Schultz of Hobe Sound; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be sent to: Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. on May 4 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. A funeral service will follow immediately at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Dan Holland Officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
